Hi All,

Does intensive studying and prepping for the SAT also help towards the ACT? I will be doing intensive SAT prep (taking 10 practice exams/learning from the Q&A) and then before the actual SAT/ACT exam, I will take a real practice ACT to get a feel for the test. Is this okay? Thanks!

That’s fine. The styles are a little different, but I don’t recommend putting too much effort for ACT if you’ve already prepped for SAT.

It worked fine for me. I would recommend taking a few practice ACT tests (online, officially, etc.), not just one, just so the format and timing don’t throw you off.

There are a few differences–i.e. the science section (which is mostly reading comprehension), separate English and Reading sections, slightly less abstract essay prompts–but I don’t think it’s too big of an issue.
