when you see how old you and all your classmates are getting?

I still remember when we were all kids, and I still think of all my classmates and myself as "kids", and now that we're in high school and the same "kids" turning 17 and already driving cars... I don't know, it's so weird. We're only a year away from becoming legal adults. Then I just look at everyone, and we all look almost like adults. It's so weird, because just a few years ago I remember us being immature little kids and now we're so much more mature.

It's beautiful, natural, but also somewhat freaky. And it also reminds me how old I'm getting. Anyone else feel this way?

i wish i could say the same thing, but I moved to Sacramento in the fifth grade. The only changes I notice from my classmates from 5th-8th is that they grew taller, but there faces looked the same as always.

Yes definitely. It’s also strange when you look at old yearbooks/pictures of your friends and you see how much you’ve changed over the years and how different everyone really looks.

Yeah, I moved away from Long Island after 5th grade and all I see are changes of faces in NC and taller people. I still look at facebook, everyone looks mostly the same from NY too anyway.

for me ,I find it strange when people I’ve known for years change emotionally or their personalities, not so much physically. You know, that sweet 6 year old boy who used to share his cookies with you, is now the devil’s child 18 year old who smokes weed and isn’t going to college. Or the middle school classmate who slacked off 24/7 and got straight Ds,but is now a NMF with a 2350+ SAT and is probably going to some top ivy.

Its the strangest when you’ve been with the person almost every day and don’t realize that they’ve changed in the past 10 years, until you stand back and actually think about it. I mean its easier to see changes when you haven’t seen the person for a couple of years. Just like how relatives always note how tall you’ve gotten but your parents don’t notice anything different.

I’m almost a year older than everyone else in my grade, but somehow the rest of the world (including myself actually) always gets the impression that I’m a lot younger than everyone, which I really don’t mind because I hate getting older.
