Does it look rly bad for grad school to get a C-/C in a major class?

<p>My major is Computer Science and the class I will get a C- or C in is Machine Architecture. It will bring my total GPA down to 3.45 (most of which is helped by non-major classes since my major GPA is 3.0 or so).</p>

<p>I want to go to ETH Zurich or another equally high ranked grad school in the EU as an international from the US (although I hold a non-EU European citizenship as well as US citizenship), will this mark look really poor on y transcript? Did I just ruin my chances at grad school abroad?</p>

<p>What will be thought looking at this ugly grade on my transcript?</p>

<p>The Masters field I want to pursue will be technology related although I'm not sure if Computer Science.
I know I can bring my undergraduate GPA up above 3.5, and get at least 6 months work experience at a computer company, will this help fix this mistake? I'm a 2nd year but junior-level by credits.</p>

And my total GPA is brought down to 3.49
still?</p>

<p>A major GPA of 3.0 is low for graduate school. I would view the C as a symptom, not as a single mistake, and would be looking for improvement on a broad scale.</p>
