Does it matter if I don't take SAT Physics?

For my SAT subject tests I'm taking Math II and Biology, because I intended to go into a biology-related major. However, recently I also thought about going into mechanical engineering.

Will not taking the SAT Physics test have a negative impact on my admission chances if I do decide to major in mechanical engineering, or will a presence of another science test (Biology) be enough?

Biology will be enough, unless you are applying to MIT. Come to think of it, even for MIT, biology will be enough. I think they only ask for 2 tests, and Math II and Biology are certainly a good combination.

If you’re applying to MIT, you only need one math and one science subject test.

Besides, it doesn’t really matter. Lots of people change their minds on what major they want during freshman year anyway.
