Hello :) I will soon be applying to a few rather selective schools (Northwestern for one) that require SAT subject tests. I did fairly well on the SAT my junior year, but I'm retaking it this year in hopes of improving my math score. I got a 2030, but only a 600 on math (730 verbal, 700 writing). I plan on taking the ACT but can't predict how well I will do, so just in case I want to take 3 subject tests. I know you should take the ones you think you will do best in, but do colleges really take into consideration which ones you took? Do they consider your intended major? I don't really want to take a science/math test, and I'm applying as an English or theatre major. Advanced science and math skills aren't so important there, haha. I do need 3 scores though, so I guess I will take either Chemistry and/or the mathematics tests. Which of those are easiest/have the most forgiving curve/etc? I plan on taking Literature in addition to two of those. I can probably do well on Lit, but I don't know how much chemistry I remember, and I've never been good at math tests-- I'm too slow of a worker.

Any advice? Any good preparation tips?

Thanks :)
