Does Johns Hopkins consider 9th grade?

Hey, this is a simple question…

I’m studied in a foreign country in 9th grade, and had a messed up foreign record when it was interpreted by US registrars. THus, my 10th/11th grade GPA’s, etc… were much better than my 9th grade.

Thus, I’m looking for schools that doesn’t count 9th grade (that would boost my weigthed GPA about .5, and class rank probably from top 15-20% to valedictorian).

So, I’d like to know if JHU counts 9th grade into their GPA?

and if they consider the class rank from all yrs or only from 10-12th grade?

Thanks for reading. I am eagerly awaiting your informed input.

You should use the search function. Hopkins does look at 9th grade, but it is the least important year they look out. Sophomore, junior, and senior year are FAR more important. And they like to see an upward trend so if you had a weak freshman year but went up th next three, you'll be fine.

Yes, Johns Hopkins does look at your 9th grade record and you will be required to submit the transcript from your international school that year.

Class rank is a very minor factor in the application review process since all schools calculate rank differently. That being said, if rank is included by a school on their transcript, then Hopkins will include that school-reported rank in our reviews.

And as YanksDolphins said you should use the search function as your question about 9th grade performance have already been asked and answered:

etc.....

Well, thanks a lot anyway... I'll use the search function next time, but my account seem to limit my use of it every 30 sec's or sth.

^yeah it's so annoying its why I don't use it. you don't know what to search as a keyword and if you search the wrong one you have to wait

Use the Google CC search - it's a lot faster and more accurate, the only downside is that it doesn't have the most recent discussions indexed yet
