It appears so, yes.

On the current official USMMA application (Part 1) there is a section you can check "YES" or "NO" to apply for their Early Decision

It also states:

N.B. Early Decision candidates agree to withdraw applications from all other institutions upon notification of unconditional appointment to USMMA.

We were fortunate that our son was recruited for a sport and had good grades. Other schools were recruiting him so the coach really moved the process along. We had a letter of acceptance in Sept and they offered to get an appointment for us too. If they want you they can move mountains. Most important thing for anyone considering the school, do an overnight visit. Again the coach did a wonderful job and when school started he had a group of friends before walking through those doors. If you are not in a sport or activity find one, try a new one. I know it made all the difference for my son.

There is no early decision. I believe that is incorrect on the application. Last year it was on there too and they told my son that it is not applicable.

well the truth is, until you have your congressional nomination, which for most states won't come out for several months yet, the school's opinion really doesn't mean much. they might like you a lot, but until you're nominated, you aren't eligible. so yeah, focus on getting a nomination and then go from there.

I went to KP open house. They told me if you don't get a nomination and they want you they will find a senator or congressman who hasn't used all of their nominations and ask him to give you his.

They didn't mention early admissions but they did say they had rolling admissions. So if you send in your application early they will tell you if you will be appointed as soon as they get it. I'm trying to find out about the early application thing too, so if you find out any more info please send an email to me. I'll do the same for you.

Coaches really do move things along. Last year my son was accepted in 9 days. He did get two nominations and also had good grades, but I think the coach was the real reason he was accepted so quickly.
