Does Miami offer finacial aid for the middle class?

I am a high school student wondering if anyone knows how Miami is, on giving money to attend. It is on the pricey side.

Miami offers great Merit award packages. At least 4 years ago, it was the best that my D. got in comparison to other UG’s. I do not know about their need based FA. It is not pricey for IS. about the same as other publics. It is very expensive OOS. If you have great college GPA, there is even more Merit awards available for returning students (after first year). Most kids do not apply for Returning students scholarships, big mistake, but more available for those who do. Also, Miami strongly recommends to file FASFA to receive full range of Merit awards.

On the Miami Financial Aid site it states that scholarships are given for
merit, financial need, and a combination of both. Qualifications for merit
based aid is given but not for need only. Miami does have programs for
under-represented groups. You will need to fill out the FAFSA to
qualify for any need based aid. I would recommend you call the
Financial Aid Dept. for more details.

Yes, it is expensive if you are out of state, but it may still be affordable
with merit/financial need aid.
