I can't find a definitive answer about that. With an ACT superscore of 33 and a weighted GPA of 3.93 with 9 AP courses, will my son qualify for any significant merit scholarship?

Also, his school does not rank, but it’s a highly competitive private school.

And of course I meant “superscore.” Burned by autocorrect again!

Never mind. I found on the UM site that they do superscore the ACT. Any thoughts on whether my S will qualify for a merit scholarship (stats above)?

My DS, who is a current UM soph, received a nice academic scholarship that enabled him to attend and his ACT superscore was 32. I don’t remember his GPA but he was top 5% of HS class. I know UM keeps getting more competitive each year, but I would guess that your DS would qualify for a scholarship. Check the threads of last year’s acceptances (HS class of 2014) and look at the stats of the kids who got scholarships. I found that very helpful when we were going through the process. Good luck!
