I got a 660 CR and 610 M for a total of 1270, but my writing score is holding me down with only a 610, does michigan really take the writing section into account?

I am a freshman at U of M, and when I had my advising appointment for the fall schedule, my advisor handed me everything the admissions department had on me (aka the stuff they looked at when they made a decision on my application). My SAT Math & Reading score were stated, but my writing score was, apparently, not taken into account.

Hope that helps :)

thanks, what would you say my chances are?
