I just got my deferral letter in the mail. Nothing was on Wolverine access, not even that extra semester "trick." My scores and grades were a little lower then the Michigan standard , but came from a top public hs in NJ. My essays were also incredible. I applied end of September, but teacher recs didnt get there till like Oct 10th. I also attended a summer program at mich and took a class with mich teachers.

Do they reject anyone is my question. And if so, in what stat range.

From a top public in NJ, applied to LSA. I knew Michigan was a reach for me. I had a 1280 with a 3.9 weighted gpa... however my essay was INCREDIBLE and I had a decent hook. Also tons of leadership positions/activities I didnt expect to get in really... just wondering if they reject anyone. Do I have any shot of getting in?

I haven't heard of anyone being rejected yet. I think that they might be kinda unstable with the state of this economy, so they aren't rejecting people until they know what they have for the RD deadline.

honestly essays don't count for much. and your from NJ... so thats also a huge disadvantage. IMO you should not be surprised unless you had a 3.95+/31+.

Clearly 1600.... I am not suprised whatsoever, Michigan was my reach school. I was just wondering if they deferred everyone or rejected people as well.

but i dont necessarily think the people who got rejected would be on this site eagerly comparing their stats or info to other people when they are already rejected.

I got accepted after applying early
