Does my hs gpa matter if I have AA degree?

In high school, I didn't do very well. I skipped and failed some classes and it caused my GPA to suffer(1.7). Will UF decline my admission due to my HS GPA, even if I have an AA Degree with a 3.7 GPA from a community college?

I seen in the admission requirements that you need a 2.0 cumulative GPA for each institution attended. Please someone help I've been stressing about this.

Definitely a question that will require clarity from the UF
admissions office and not from any member on this board !

NO. I just got accepted to UF as a transfer student with my A.A and I didn’t even send my high school papers…

jconvinced, I was in the same place as you. Didn’t care about academics at all in HS, barely even graduated my senior year. Sent in my HS transcripts when I transferred for the foreign language credit and it did not affect my admissions at all… pretty sure I got C’s in Spanish too, lol. To me, one of the points of community college is giving people like us a second chance. We can’t be punished forever for HS, and CC is a chance to show how much you’ve improved and that you’re a serious student.

Thanks for the replies. I feel a lot better now.
