I took AP Lang as a junior and opted to take Honors English 12 instead of AP Lit senior year. I heard from a counselor that this looks bad on your transcript and would decrease your chances of getting into Chapel Hill. Just wondering if this is really true. I’m instate btw.
I got in with AP Lang and Honors 4 (English 12). UNC is looking more for passion rather than one specific class.
Thanks for the reply, yeah I was hoping that’s the case as I have a lot of passion in Computer Science rather than English. Our counselor was seriously pushing AP Lit for senior year making it seem that going from AP Lang to Honors. Eng senior year would look bad to colleges.
