Should I take Ap Comp this year and Ap lit senior year, or just skip ahead to Ap Lit

I made a horrible mistake in my sophomore year. A mistake I will always regret. I did not take Ap Comp even though I am good at English and all of the honor kids in my circle did. But, alas today is today. I was wondering if people really took Ap lit in senior year, or is it too hard for a “chill” year. I feel I should have both, but I’m not entirely sure.

You didn’t make a horrible mistake. My school doesn’t even let us take AP Lang or AP Lit till senior year. Just take Lang in junior year and Lit in senior year. You don’t even need AP Lit as much as an AP math or science class (my guess is you take advanced classes).

Neither Lang nor Lit is difficult. At my high school, Lang was a junior class and Lit was a senior class. You’re not behind.

At my school, AP Lit is basically required for senior year and it’s not really an issue (but that partially depends on your teacher) Just saying, you shouldn’t be “chilling” too much during your senior year - taking AP Lit as a senior should be okay for you, especially since you said that you’re good at English

I think most schools want 4 years of English though. Are you saying that you aren’t taking an English class now or is it just an honors/regular course?
