Does NYU allow you to retake your SATS while in college?

Good day everyone! I could really use your knowledge on a day like this so please bear with me.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
I took the SAT'S back in the middle of junior year of high school and received a 1690 which dropped to a 1660 when I took it again approximately a month later. Now, I am in my sophomore year at Florida State University (FSU) and have set my heart out to get into a school I have long dreamed about attending: NYU!!! An NYU adviser who I met on a tour of the campus said that by not giving my SAT score I would only be hurting my chances in a very competitive transfer admissions process. I know that my score is nothing to look at but I do not want to risk my odds with it getting my admissions declined cause I know I only get one shot to transfer as an undergraduate. I am curious though, does NYU admissions accept retaken SAT scores if you are in your 2nd year of college? And if so would it be worth retaking? Because If I get the opportunity then I definitely want to. Read on if you want to make a more informed decision otherwise spill the beans.

OTHER INFORMATION:
Just in case you were curious (I don't blame you if your not!) I am looking to attend NYU's notorious Stern Business school and I am currently studying business management at FSU. Right now, I have a 3.6 GPA solely at FSU which will go up to at least a 3.7 after I bust my butt this semester! I was also Deans List both of those semesters.
My current clubs/volunteering services include:
-Special Olympics of Leon County Outreach Club (treasurer)
-FSU Best Buddies (mentor and member)
-Sigma Pi Philanthropy (member)
-United Way of the Big Bend (member)
-Volunteer Note taker for my Microeconomics Lecture Class

I have other experiences with clubs and leadership roles in high school where I did pretty decent academically (3.4 unweighted and 4.2 weighted with 6 AP's) but I won't delve deep into that. I know if I retook the SAT's now I would do much better, 100 total points up at the bare minimum and expecting 200 total points added. In the current day, I am much smarter and my work ethic has improved to a much higher degree then it was 3 years ago. I have the option of getting a tutor for the SAT's as well which is an added bonus.
I know I will kill the essay that comes with the application as I am a solid writer and will have months to look it over and make improvements upon it with the help of many of my college professors, family, reading and writing center critics, and close friends. All I need now is the knowledge of what to do with my SAT's scores from here!?!?!

If you read all of that then I have to say bravo! You truly are a bad ass and I tip my hat in thanks to you. I know there are some very intelligent people on here who could spread their wisdom onto my current problem. So PLEASE do :D Stay beautiful!

I can only speak from my experience as a transfer student, but I really see no reason why you’d want to submit SAT scores when you don’t need to. The purpose of the SAT is to judge how well you’ll be able to do in college. As a transfer student, what better way would there be to judge how will you’d do in college than how well you’ve actually done in college: your college grades.

Who even knows what would happen if you were to take the test again. I know I would have done far worse on the SAT if I took it in college, since a lot of the material is high school stuff that I forgot.

I got into NYU without submitting SAT scores and I got into the school I transferred from (equally selective, but test optional) without them too. I wouldn’t worry about it.

I definitely agree with you sittle. It would be smarter to focus on my strong points rather than my weak ones… Thank you so much!
