Does NYU really really lack campus life?

I know that NYU doesnt have a campus... but does NYU really lack that "campus" college feel?? I mean, are there activities that bond ppl together or is it just like high school where you go to class, come back, and only be friends with ppl that you know around you?

Yes -- independence is a must at NYU. Its not the typical college expierence.

I hope you like Andy Warhol and coffee...

I think it def lacks campus life. There are things to do, it's NYC but I wouldn't say NYU has school spirit. I see a lot of the students around Washington Sq. but its not the same. A public park is def not like a college campus lol It seems to be very lonely in a way; the NYU kids I see are usually with a book smoking and reading.

I met a girl last year who transferred from NYU to here (UVA) because she wanted to experience real college life. I guess she just wanted a taste of traditional college life.
