<p>My Common App. essay is about how I came to terms with my homosexuality. I used it because it's the most heartfelt piece I've ever written, and I felt that its sincerity would strengthen my applications. Write about something profound that has happened to -you-, not about something you think the adcoms want to hear.</p>
