For some majors, AP Stats is actually better (business or sociology, for example), for math/science majors Calc + physics are a better choice, and if you plan to major in the arts or humanities, it makes NO difference whatsoever and actually those two APs might actually be better (since a humanities major college science class will be similar to APES, and stats will be more useful for the basic distribution requirements).</p>
