<p>I know that some other schools sometimes hire bands, does Rice ever do this? if so which bands?</p>
<p>They have some bands play on campus, the national played a few years ago, bowling for soup was there a few years ago (6 or so) as well. Not too many bands come by though.</p>
<p>Rice stadium was a concert venue a while ago. Pink Floyd played there in 1994.</p>
<p>Augustana in 2009. DJ Earworm 2010. Three Six Mafia 2011.</p>
<p>Last year Michael Cera’s band came to the annual show hosted by our radio station! A few of my friends were also playing and got to bro out with him.</p>
<p>We also have local-ish bands (Texas bands?) come play at Pub sometimes. The Secret Handshake (youtube Summer of '98) has been my fave by far.</p>
