Does Seattle University guarantee scholarships?

I hope you guys don’t really mind checking out the link above. I’m looking to transfer to Seattle U for Fall 2017 and even though UW does seem to have better overall ranking, I’ve heard that Albers School is a pretty good business school.

Since tuition without scholarships can be 40k a year, I think it would be out of my reach if they don’t guarantee one. but the transfer scholarship page does state a certain number of scholarships for certain GPA. Based on that page, I would fall in the Xavier Scholarship which would deduct 13k/year of the tuition, which would totally be my reach. Also if I can bring my GPA up to above 3.75, it can get even better.

I just need to know if it’s easy to obtain scholarships in Seattle University as long as I meet the GPA requirement. or if anyone can help me with any reputable private or public schools (usually private) that provide pretty accessible scholarships for international student, that would mean a world.

That wording implies competitive to me, not guaranteed. It would depend on the different students involved.

I’m a transfer student who’s attending SU this winter, and I’m almost positive they automatically assign one of the transfer scholarships based on your transferable GPA. I think the scholarships start at a minimum GPA of 3.0, and then as the GPA gets higher, the more money they offer. I don’t think it’s competitive…I was so stupid and I didn’t even know the scholarship existed lol. After I accepted the offer of admission, they sent me a letter, out of the blue, explaining that I had a scholarship based on academic merit (I forget the exact words). So yeah…I don’t think it’s competitive. Just make sure you have at least 36 credits. Have you tried calling the school? Whenever I have a question, the staff is always super nice.

@psttt2020 I did but they stopped responding after like 2 replies though. Can’t say that they have the best administration staffs based on my experience. I agree, I don’t think it’s not much of a competition and I am already at the Xavier standing right now, Messina is totally in the reach.

Are you enrolling to Albers btw?
