University of Washington Seattle Transfer

Hello,

I recently applied to UW Seattle for the Winter 2015 term and was wondering what my chances were of getting accepted.
I understand that transfers have a much higher chance of being accepted, but I didn't do as well as I would have liked my first year.

Stats:

In state transfer
3.30 GPA (4.0 last quarter, currently receiving a 4.0)
Will have 60 credits after this quarter (I followed the WA 45 and applied before my AA)

I am concerned because I caught a minor mistake on my application and both my HS/CC sent my transcripts in late. I did write an appeal concerning the late transcripts and the mistake on my application, but I am still very nervous.
If you have applied to UW as a transfer what was your experience? Stats? Have you ever written an appeal, if so how did it go?

Thanks!

What major are you trying to get into? Your GPA will be important depending on what you are trying to pursue at UW. I know that Engineering, Business, and Medicine are very, very competitive fields there. Something like the major I am aiming for, Asian Studies, is easier to get into and doesn’t require a high GPA.

Also, I believe UW is more concerned about progress throughout your academic career so if you started off a little rough but improved throughout your academic career then you don’t have to worry too much.

I’m not quite sure about the application fumble though.

Thanks for your response.
It doesn’t look so good this time around, so I’m going to try again for Summer/Autumn.
I’m planning on pursuing PH. I’ve been doing well in school so my GPA has been going up at a steady pace!
