Hi there, I am a junior in high school and I want to go to St. John’s for the PharmD program. Do I have to take any SAT subject tests for my admission application? Thanks for the info.
Hi @denise64p, I was accepted there to start this fall and I don’t think subject tests are required although I did take math 2c and chemistry. Btw, st johns don’t take high school AP chemistry + biology as credits because they want all students to be on the same page. I took both ap chem and bio and didnt even know
Congratulations to you on getting into St. John’s. Thank you so much for that information. I have heard a few different things concerning the subject tests. Do you think it helped you to get in by taking them? Did you get your application in for Nov. 1 or Dec.1
@jonthegreat, having taken AP bio and chem should help you when you take these classes in college in the fall.
Admissions info for St John’s
@denise64p I am not sure… I got a 1430 on the new SAT, 680 and 650 on SAT II chem and math2c. My friend got in with 1310 and no SAT IIs and he barely has any extra curricular so I really don’t know… And to answer your other question, I applied for regular decision (Feb 1st)
Thanks for the info. I hope I did as well as you did on my sat. I’ll know June 8. I feel like I better take some sat ll tests. St. John has a great pharmacy program and I want to do everything I can to get in.
Thank you
Are you and your friend both majoring in pharmacy?
