Does Submitting the SAT IIs require you to submit your SAT I score as well?

Hi, I have a question about the whole score-choice-thing. Let's say that you had a pretty good ACT score and 5 really good SAT II scores, but your SAT I score really sucked. If you applied to a college without score choice (such as Columbia and Yale), and you wanted to submit all of your SAT II and ACT scores but not the SAT I scores, would you have to submit them anyways? Thx

This is the exact situation I’m in. I got a 35 on the ACT, but much lower on the SAT’s.

Unfortunately, for schools that require all scores, if you want to send SAT II’s you also have to send SAT’s (they’re on the same “send scores” page).

However, you can take the risk in unchecking SAT scores. According to a collegeboard rep that I spoke to, the college would never know, the only way they could possibly know is if they called your high school and they told them.

But you can uncheck SAT scores even for a school that requires all scores, and most likely they will never find out.

If you can use score choice at a school you are not required to send your SAT I, but if the school does not accept score choice you are supposed to send it.

Take the SAT again. You’ll do better the second time around
