I live somewhat far from possible testing centers, and for my psats and sats I always come in late, pretty much just in time to begin the essay, and then I fill up my scantron info (name, school code, etc) during the breaks. Is this possible prior to the writing portion of the ACT or is the scantron collected and one is given a seperate book? Thanks

There is a break between the science test and the writing test, but I forget if the proctor collected our scantrons…I think she may have, but don’t quote me.

I’m almost positive that my proctor collected the answer booklet before starting the writing portion.

she didnt give us a break, and collected the scantrons.

Is it really impossible for you to plan on getting there 20 or 30 minutes early? Why even risk not being accepted into the testing room?
