Does the computer science major fill up fast?

<p>I will be around top 12% to 13% when I apply to UT next year; I'll probably end up selecting an easy-to-get-into major and then appeal for a major change to CS using my improved 1st semester senior year rank. </p>

<p>From what I've read on CC, UT appeal success pretty much depends on both how much your stats have improved and how much room is available in the major. The CS major being full by the time I appeal seems to be the only major flaw in my plan. .___.</p>

<p>fyi-- you have to be admitted to the pre-CS major, not CS. You aren’t a CS major until you have completed a number of prereqs. I’ve never seen anything indicating that the pre-CS or CS major fills up, like engineering does.</p>
