The Cornell financial aid office emailed me because they want my parent's business returns. I only sent them the income returns when I mailed the tax returns. Does the financial aid office calculate financial aid for all applicants or just accepted applicants????

The financial aid office is completely separate from the admissions office. This doesn’t mean you’re accepted; it just means they were missing documents from you.

I was also contacted to provide our business returns as well but I agree with @Ranza123, unfortunately. Wish it was different, but I think not. :((

I believe they have to make sure they have every bit of documentation ready for when the admissions office says, “go!” At some point, I think a few days before the ED notification date, the FA office will get a list of names of the accepted students. Then they have to rush like crazy to crunch the numbers. That’s why they have to have everything ready beforehand for every applicant.

bro, dead ass, you need to calm down with this

Brantly nailed it.
