does the lack of a campus bother you?

goddard is exploration-floor only and is smaller building wise, and they dont have a dining hall, and the room size is very inconsistent.

hayden youll get social people, but theyll all be different
goddard, you'll get social people, but theyll all have the same main interest as you (if you pick the right exploration floor for your personality)

I like the idea of a dining hall right in the building. When you join an "exploration", does it take up a lot of time?

If you get in early, and you want a starbucks underneath you and a social dorm... is goddard the way to go as your first choice? Or Hayden, because... well I don't know why but everybody keeps saying Hayden is the best.

the choice between hayden and goddard.

it really depends on your preference.

hayden is a huge (think long wait for elevators) freshman dorm with a very good dining hall. it is, however, home of rampant drug abuse and drinking (my friends have also seen some great sex going on there, no kidding). there's just always something going on there...lots of hall activities like floor wars and hall decorating. the rooms are pretty nice and they're hardwood (concrete?) floors.

goddard is a way drier dorm as well as much smaller, with only 200 something residents. all the floors are explorations floors, so goddard kids tend to be more tight-knit. because they're so tight-knit though, there's not as much sense of a "goddard community" rather than a "floor community." it is also extremely close to silver, education buildings (lucky for me since all my classes are next door or in my building), bobst. the rooms here are all carpeted.

both dorms are great central locations with plenty of dining choices nearby (upstein, downstein, hayden, kimmel, kosher cafe, starbucks, java city).

Are Goddard and Hayden equally co-ed? What do you actually have to do when you sign up for Explorations? Is it an occasional fun outing and discussion, or is it like taking an extra course? What happens if you miss an Explorations meeting due to an assignment being due for class or something like that?

goddard dry?.....hahahahahahaahahahhahahahahha

id also say drug use is pretty equal, consisting almost entirely of weed. I've seen coke here and there, but its not really rampant.
