Does the order of your classes matter to you?

Do you think the order of your classes matter? I mostly just care which period I get PE (hopefully not in the afternoon). They don't give us an actual schedule at my school until the third day but we got a list of classes and on my list PE is 4th which is good because it's right next to the lunch line but bad because they show announcements during 4th period and if I'm in PE I won't be able to see them. Hopefully that won't be the actual schedule (I like the announcements). What about you? Do you care about order?

Yes, I do care. And mostly about PE. I prefer PE either 1st period or 9th period (beginning or end). Thankfully I have PE 8th period this upcoming year so that will be fine. I also like having a simple class last period. Sadly, 9th period I have AP Chemistry so that sucks…

Yeah I need my classes that have a high level of homework to be at the end of the day so I can do it/copy it

Not really, but I didn’t like having boring classes at the end of the day because I was already restless by that time anyway. My school didn’t give us a chance to take showers after gym either, so I would have wanted that to be at the end of the day.

I didn’t really care that much in high school but it did suck having alg 2 and precalc first thing in the morning. Was lucky that last year both my 1st and 5th periods were music classes so those woke me up  (we had all classes mon, 1-4 tues thurs, 5-8 wed friday)

For me yes, because my school does an A day/B day schedule (4 classes one day, 4 different classes the next, alternating). Since I’m taking 4 AP classes I really hoped I wouldn’t get all 4 on the same day. Luckily I got 2 each day so it’s doable. :)

Time-wise, I prefer to have harder classes in the morning and electives in the afternoon. I tend to lose focus after lunch.

@comput1‌ haha that happened to a friend of mine. their blue day schedule was AP Physics C (both e&m and mechanics combined), AP Chinese, Artificial Intelligence 1 and 2 (Post-AP), and neurobiology (post-ap). they were not happy.

I like having harder classes in the beginning of the day, I’m usually better focused and not that tired. Near the end of the day I get really sleepy. I’m actually really happy with my upcoming schedule. We have an advisory period and it got moved to the beginning of the day so I won’t have to worry about coming late to school, while I can do a little bit of last minute review for classes. I’m really bad with getting to school on time and I would always come late to AP Physics. I also have my 4 AP’s in a row right after, so I won’t get too sleepy before lunch.

I forgot to say I don’t like PE in the afternoon because it’s hot (I live in Southern California and PE is outdoors). @halcyonheather‌ We also don’t have showers but I never thought of that being an issue…maybe I’m smellier than I thought.

Yeah I loved having PE in the morning, it was usually a nice 60-70 degrees outdoors when we ran.

hell yeah it does

My first three classes have the worst teachers in them. Not a good way to start the school day.

I also have an A/B day schedule, so the order of my classes is REALLY important, especially for my harder classes. I get more time to study, and I get to ask all the A day kids how the tests were. Also, I don’t like have science or math first period. I have a hard time focusing in the morning. I’m much better in the afternoon.

My school does A/B schedule so I prefer to have my easier classes in the morning. I don’t like to have both my foreign languages on the same day, or both my math classes and I prefer to have classes that have easy homework due to be at the end of the day so I can do it at lunch or in other classes.

@guineagirl96 does your friend (and you possibly) happen to go to TJHSST?

I only have to take PE once, but I preferred if it was at the end of the day.

Now I only care about my math class. I try to carry as little as possible, so I hate carrying around my giant graphing calculator. I prefer if math is either: first, before/after lunch, or last. With either of those scenarios I can easily store my calculator in my locker, and only get it for math.

Sadly, I have horrible luck. Even though I should have a higher chance of having math in one of those blocks (4/7 classes), it almost never happens.

@TengoQueSaber‌ yes to both

I prefer having something easier like art first period as I’m usually not fully awake

I’d prefer having my more interesting classes in the middle of the day and my more boring ones either in the beginning or end.

@Cornball‌ We don’t have lockers at our school so I don’t have to think about that.

I CAN"T have an English class first thing in the morning…found that out Junior year XD. I basically sit doodling in notebooks (or literature lol) until something interesting happens, which never actually does.
Other than English, I personally don’t care about my schedule. As long as I have lunch at a somewhat humane time - my school has 3 lunch periods, the first one being waaaaay too early - I’m good for the day.
Hopefully this year my APs will get scheduled on both A and B days, I’m taking 5 of them so I may die if they all end up on the same day :/

I don’t really care about the order of my classes, but I really liked having Band first hour, and I kind of preferred having Chemistry as one of my first classes like it was 2nd trimester instead of one of my last classes.
