Does the Personal Statement HAVE to be about your major?

<p>Do you necessarily have to talk about what you're majoring in and about what you've done to prepare to major in it? I'm going to major in biology, but to be honest my school and area do not have anything that would help biology majors in any way. No programs, no scholarship opportunities, no clubs, nada. My personal statements are about my home life and about my talent for art (Prompts 1 and 2) so I don't know if that is a good sign or not.</p>

<p>Nope, not at all. As long as it shows positive qualities about yourself, it does not have to be related to your intended field of study.</p>
