because it my first personal statement i talked about how i dont want to become a nurse because my family is pushing me to but i would rather go to art or some other profession. but i mostly talk about art though. </p>

Is that a bad idea? or should i just go in the UCs as undeclared?</p>
<p>I don’t think talking about how you don’t want to study the major you selected is a good idea. You should be reflecting on your personality as it’s a personal statement. Talk about your achievement and future goals. Research about how to write a PS, usually the admissions committee want to know why you want to attend their school and learn more about you as a person. They are not going to help you change your parents mind, no point of complaining to them.</p>
