Does the Secondary School Report take the place of a transcript?

I thought the Secondary School Report only contained stuff about your senior year and your class rank / GPA?

Do I still need to send in a high school transcript if using the Common App?

The secondary school report and transcript are two different items. As far as I know, you would still have to send in your transcript.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing a little while ago. I asked my counselor and she said that I will self-report my senior classes and she will upload my transcript. The procedure might be different from HS to HS, so be sure to ask your counselor as well.

I guess it does depend on your HS / guidance counselor.

On Stanford’s website it says this:

“You must submit an official high school transcript. Usually your transcript will be submitted with the Secondary School Report, but remember it is your responsibility to ensure we receive your transcript.”

I checked with my daughter’s GC, who she said that she uploaded the transcript as part of the Secondary School Report, and that we don’t need to snail-mail a transcript. You should check with your GC to be sure.
