<p>I've been wondering this for a while, especially for the top US Universities. For example, at Penn, do you have a better chance of acceptance at the CAS than Wharton? Or is admission based sole on the university (if that makes sense)?</p>
<p>Indeed, at some universities, Concentration A is harder to get into than Concentration B. CAS/Wharton is a prime example of this.</p>

<p>Admission chances are definitely affected. Some schools have less popular majors than others. Your example of CAS and Wharton at UPenn is great. Business generally is a lot more popular than an art major like music therapy or something (though I’m not sure if UPenn has that as an option but some other colleges most certainly do).</p>
