Does the summer going into 9th grade count?

<p>today, i learned i'm nominated to go to this leadership retreat over the summer. i suppose it's kind of "elite" because only 12 people from my district get to go. i don't know if i'll bother going unless i can put it on my college application. i know that sounds bad .. but .. it's true :P</p>

<p>so, does the summer going into 9th grade count for college apps?</p>

<p>it'll more than likely not count, but what will count is the experience. you can build upon this leadership summit throughout highschool by being president of clubs/class. it you think you will enjoy this go. if you have something better to do, do that.</p>
