<p>Hey, i was beginning to get my big activities down on the common app and had a question dealing with listing summer activities. When marking the "grade level participated in" for summer activities, which grade level counts for the summer. </p>
<p>Example: I participate in a summer harry potter trivia league in the summer after my 11th grade year and before my 12th grade year. Would i check summer and 11th grade or summer and 12th grade? Thanks</p>
<p>summer and 12th -- technically, after you graduate from one grade, you are in the next grade, even if you havn't started taking classes yet.</p>

<p>So does anything before 9th grade count considering you are a middle school graduate but have not yet officially stepped foot into the high school?</p>

<p>FYI: thats obviously a hypothetical situation and unfortunately i havent been involved in such a league, but i agree that it does sound intense.</p>
