Does the University of Maryland keep track of visits to their campus?

I visited UMD, but it was not on an official tour. Therefore, they have no record that I visited the campus. I really like the school and already have a great feel of it.

Will it boost my admission/scholarship chances by visiting the school officially? Or does UMD not keep track of demonstrated interest?

For example, my other school, Villanova, does not keep track of how many times you visit and doesn’t even keep record of it.

@christopher8956 - As far as I know, UMD does not track demonstrated interest. I know current students who never visited until after they were admitted.

As per UMD’s CDS they don’t consider demonstrated interest in their decision process.
