My sons (as I stated before) are looking at Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, University of Maryland-CP, North Carolina State, University of Miami, University of Florida, University of Delaware, Rutgers, University of Texas A&M, UCSD and a few other smaller privates.

I am trying to see which colleges track level of interest as part of the admission process.

I think I remember them saying that they know who has visited and expressed interest, but that it is not a factor in the admission process. It certainly can’t hurt though to let them know you are serious about the school, but I don’t think that a lack of expressed interest would hurt you if you are a qualified applicant.

Last year when my son and I attended the Maryland Marquis Day, they were tracking who attended through sign in at the beginning of the day and sign in at the Honors Dessert Reception at the end of the day. I can’t say whether it impacted his admission, but it certainly didn’t hurt.
