Hey guys
I am an international student going into grade 11 and i will be applying to pre med in the US. I am a good student with decent SATs(2100+) but here is what i am confused about. In grade 9, i got decent grades with all As but not many A+. In grade ten, however, i got more A+, some As, and a B. You may think its needless for me to worry, but i still am. Will my grade 10 B hurt me in the longterm because i hear universities look at all year's marks.

Do they emphasize more on Grade 11 marks rather than 9 and 10 marks or is it the same. I would imagine its only normal to hugely consider grade 11 marks more. Also , as i said before, does my B in french(so stupid) hurt my chances at all at? thankyou.

ps: please don't think this is a stupid question. im nervous as hell about this

Undoubtedly, some people will respond that one B won't hurt you. I would suggest a more nuanced answer that may help you to think about all these sort of questions. You are a whole person, with grades, scores, activities, personality, writing ability, experiences, relationships with people who will recommend you, and more. Looking at all of those things together, the ones that are positive will "help" you, and the ones that are less positive will "hurt" you. Don't focus on one thing, unless it's remarkably good (you won a major international prize) or remarkably bad (you have a felony conviction). All the others have meaning only in context. So, in context, a single B on your transcript will have very little effect.
