Does this letter mean i'm in?? or no?

I found out online about 10 days ago that I got into Arizona State U. Today I got a letter in the mail saying "Arizona State University proudly admits (insert my name) to the W.P. Carey School of Business for Fall 2006." on another sheet of paper it says...

Campus: Tempe
College: WP Carey School of Business
Major: PRE MARKETING

Does this mean i'm a direct admit into the business school, or no? I was assuming so, but what's up with that "Pre-marketing" major??? Shouldn't it be "Marketing"

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully this means i'm into the business school as a freshman...

At most universities, a "pre-something" major means that there are some specific requirements that must be fulfilled before a student can be admitted to the major. You probably will have to take certain courses your first two years and maintain a certain gpa, sometimes two gpa's -- one in the required courses for the major and another overall gpa. The "pre" designation sometimes opens up some courses that are restricted to students in the major. This is common in large schools where they have to restrict courses to students in the major only.

bump..............
