Does This Mean A Thing?

I am getting interviewed next week at guess where STARBUCKS, the place of choice for those college interviews, I never hear of them happening at Dunkin Donuts,do you?:)

Someone from admissions called my advisor and wanted a little clarification on some of the courses I took, namely two languages and a few other questions, then she spoke specifically about something I do out of school which is a big part of my life and she told my advisor how impressed she was and that Harvard is always looking for "someone with that kind of vision". She was really encouraged when the rep said she felt 'good about me". I am not taking that for any more than what it is.....small talk but it was encouraging nevertheless!

Good luck to you all.

Who is your adviser? Your school guidance counselor? Because if so, you stand a really good chance at getting in! Unless whoever called from Harvard was low-ranking. Because they are probably trained not to give out any details like that. It would probably make you mad if you got rejected after hearing info like this.

I wish my counselor cared about the students. But then again, she has 400 of them to worry about! Plus she is new, and thus, she is clueless.

Dang, that would be a nice thing to hear. But don't put to much stock in it. A lot of people get told something like that somewhere along the line, usually in the interview. They proceed to read too much into it, and set themselves up for an ugly day if they get rejected, which plenty of them do.

wait...I was under the impression that they only started to read the application packets in like early feb. after they got things sorted out...I'm still waiting to hear from like 3 of my colleges about them confirming that they recieved my app.

They do read applications that come in early before the January 1stt deadline

...dont all applications come in before January 1st deadline?

ROFL...

Yeah, well my personal opinion is that if it truly was a highly ranked official, he or she would not give out ANY information like that whatsoever.

haha yeah i agree with epsilon.

but still, whoever it was has to know SOMETHING about admissions, so im sure you have a better than decent chance.
