I got an email from UCSD about some sort of prospective student reception...

"Dear prospective student,

On behalf of our faculty, staff, students and alumni, the University of
California, San Diego acknowledges you as an exceptional freshman applicant for
Fall Quarter 2007. In recognition of your academic achievements, we invite you
and your family to join us for a special reception in your honor on Saturday,
March 31, 2007 from 9:00am-11:00am at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Milpitas,
California."

there was more that detailed the reception, but this is the bulk of it...

Does this mean im probablly accepted or am I just reaching for something thats not there?

my stats reallly arent that good, so I was surprised...but my essays were top notch, my AP English teacher wanted copies to share with her classes as examples

UC GPA: 3.67
SAT: 1960 (unless they saw my January scores self-reported: 2060)
SAT 2: 690 Lit, 630 Math 2

Don't hate though guys, I already know my stats are weak compared to most CC'ers, haha

I got something similar to UCSB, which meant I got accepted. It is most likely you got accepted if you got this. Why else would they send it to you and say you are high achieving?

I got that when I was accepted last year along with a few other people who got some form of scholarship from the school; mine was the Chancellor's Scholarship for $4,000/year, if you were wondering.
