Does this mean that Emory wants me?

I was waitlisted and accepted my spot but then declined it in late April. After I declined it they sent me this:

"Thank you for informing me of your decision to be removed from the Emory University wait list. We will be sure to also take you off our mailing list. Thank you for considering Em.."

But today, May 21st, I received another, different email from Emory (although I had already declined my spot on the waitlist and received the email above). The new email is a description of what a student at Emory felt like when s/he visited the campus and after that these two sentences:

"I do hope you choose to remain on Emory's wait list, ***. And I look forward to being in touch with you again over the next few weeks."

As you can see I have to let them know AGAIN whether I am interested in remaining on the waitlist, although I already said no in April.

Do you think that this is some mistake or do they want me to stay on the waitlist (so that they can accept me)?

This happened to my daughter last year after she declined a position on the waitlist; she contacted them again to let them know to take her off…they contacted her again thanking her for staying on the waitlist…hahahaha

Fast forward to July…another letter letting her know that the waitlist was closed and that she should consider applying for transfer…

They probably haven’t taken you off their mailing list yet.

^^ ditto
