This year the acceptance percentage of OOS seems very low.
I am an international student from China.
Many many applicants from China got rejected.</p>
<p>UT is tough to get into, and obviously a little unfair... but no admissions really are. I'm sure you'll take an acceptance from another great school and do just fine. It's always what you make of it, ya know?</p>

I got into wisconsin-madison
But the weather there is terrible
So I prefer UT</p>
<p>yeah, the weather is not great if you don't like the snow or cold. but you would be within day trip distance of Chicago, which is one of my favorite cities. By the way, weather or not, wisconsin-madison is a great school! congrats!</p>

UT is even harder than ivy for intl students this year.</p>
<p>Don't feel bad- UT is ridiculously hard to get into this year if you're not top 10%. Congrats on Wisconsin-Madison!! That's fantastic! My cousins are trying to transfer to the U.S. and it's hard.</p>

<p>All I read was that I had sent some of my information too late (i.e SAT scores) so they would review my application if there was any room left. Of COURSE there wasn't any room left, this is a state school. I didn't read the rest because then I just ripped it up and threw it into the trash.</p>

<p>Irokotree, I don't know if it is a little too late now, but there is a process of appeal for late materials. they had received one of my documents 2 days late, and when I called, a lady in admissions told me of the process of writing a letter to the appeals committee about considering a so called "late application." I wrote a long and adamant letter, and they approved it! now my status is still being reviewed I suppose (I'm a transfer applicant), but I am totally glad I wrote that letter. It might be good to call and see if that option is open for you.</p>
