What is Trojan Hall really like?

Hi
I was assigned to Trojan Hall. To me, it doesn't seem as bad as everyone says. It is a part of the Admissions office and the descriptions online make it seem perfectly fine. But, a lot of people do seem to dislike this place. What dining facility do Trojan hall residents go to (EVK?)? How new are the facilities? What makes it have such a bad rep? I could ask for reassignment to somewhere else. Personally, I've only seen Pardee tower and the pictures make Trojan seem way more desirable.

im curious as well…
i heard its ****ty as hell

My friend lived there last year, and I would not suggest Trojan Hall to an incoming freshman. The halls smelled and were dim. The people there I met weren’t particularly social, but it really depends on the individual.
However, I did hear that Trojan Hall is undergoing some renovations this summer, so maybe it will be better than I remember it to be?

EVK will be the closest dining facility. Parkside is about a 15 min walk. There are LiteraTea, GroundZero, and Papavich nearby for other food choices.

Trojan Hall is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. There are renovations happening this summer. I’m not sure exactly what they are doing. Trojan Hall people are able to use Marks Hall’s exercise facilities. They have a lounge with a flat screen TV and plenty of couches. Laundry rooms are in the basement. Its location is nice and very convenient. The halls aren’t really dark or grimy. Last year the halls were quite social if you were willing to open your door and talk to other people.
