does UCLA consider your alternate major?

If i don’t get into the Nursing major, will UCLA consider my alternate Chem major? i have heard that they do not consider alternate majors…idk ah

UCLA does not normally consider the alternate choices of applicants who applied to majors in the other schools such as (Engineering, Arts, Nursing, etc…).

Would they seriously consider the alterante major if one applied to the college of letters and sciences.

No, because they don’t admit by major in the College. If you don’t get in as a physics major, then you also wouldn’t get in if you applied as a sociology major.

what do you mean by they don’t admit by major in the college?

For Letters and Science you are admitted to the college of Letters and Science with a pre major. Technically everyone is undeclared.

They don’t take your major into account when making decisions. They only do that in the specialty schools (engineering, nursing, music, arts, tft)
