I am a recently admitted student at UCLA for the College of Letters and Sciences. I have already reported the change in my schedule but I am very nervous to hear back from them. I dropped AP Calculus in the second semester of my senior year and replaced it with a non AP, Props and Stats. I did not drop the class because I was failing, on the contrary, I did very well the first semester and earned an A. My health started to get really bad and I was experiencing terrible migraines. I could not go to school very often because of them. I went to back to my specialist and he strongly recommended that I drop all my APs. He said that I was overworking myself and also explained that the stress I was having lead me to have these horrible migraine episodes (the medication that I was prescribed earlier this was not working). So I took his advice and talked to my counselor about dropping one AP because I felt that I could handle my other AP even if I missed school frequently… I just want to know how my situation would be compared to others you may have heard. Also what would be the chances that UCLA does revoke my admission?
If that is what you explained and you noted an A first semester it should be ok.
Update: I was emailed 4 days after I reported the change. My admission offer still stands and I am excited to start preparing to accept the offer.
