<p>I like to play basketball and workout, I was wondering if UCSD had like a 24 hour fitness style gym on campus? Where you can lift, exercise, etc. How long is it open? Do you have to pay?</p>

<p>I’m also an incoming freshman but I’ve been inside RIMAC which is the gym right next to ERC (or inside of?) and it’s absolutely massive that I believe is open until 10 on weekdays. I’ve also seen pick up ball, both volley and basket. There is at least one other gym at Muir that I’ve heard squeaking shoes come out of. Payment for facilities comes from registration fees.</p>

<p>i’d highly recommend the various sports classes (paid) they have – surfing, sailing, scuba, whatever. it took me almost four years to find those, wish i had gotten started earlier! it’s a great way to get out into the city and explore the best of SD</p>
<p>To answer your second question, you get pretty decent cable at the dorms - it includes MTV and stuff! Haha I would bring a tv, but just know you won’t have much time to watch it</p>

<p>@HungyHung… Rimac is only open till 10 over the summer. During the regular school year, it opens at 530am and closes at 12 am except on Saturdays when it closes way earlier (I forget the exact time)</p>
