does UIUC have a scavenger hunt?

I think I read somwhere that UIUC holds a large scavenger hunt, sort of like MIT. is this true?

i think I found where I heard about this - it is a called a 'puzzle hunt'.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puzzlehunt%5B/url%5D">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puzzlehunt</a></p>

I believe you’re thinking of the University of Chicago in Hyde Park.

I actually found the source for my impression/question and I linked to it in the OP and it does say UIUC, not UC. So I was confirming this reading from people who are going to UIUC.

besides confirming whether it goes on still, also seeking how popular is it, and other items of info.

anyone know if UIUC has a scavenger hunt , apparently aka ’ puzzlecrack’ or ‘puzzlehunt’ ? when does this happen? how does one get involved with it ?

Never heard of one Universitywide, although CPH-Newman Hall is running one for residents.

I can confirm that some of the residential halls have a scavenger hunt. Do not know of anything else, but it is very possible that there is a campus wide one run by a particular club or orientation committee.

The engineering department just had a rather massive scavenger hunt today as part of the iEfx Launch.

There is a large scavenger hunt across Champaign and Urbana coming up in September. It’s put on by a student group called GCUSFRC and it’s a really challenging hunt. All the clues are in rhymed couplets, so, like one is, “Study decade’s soil stagnation / Corn and soy for crop rotation,” and there are a lot of GPS coordinates, QR Codes, and other craziness. Should be a blast.
