Does universities look at your 9/10th grade year of high school for admissions??

I heard that they start looking at your high school transcript for junior/senior year, but not really 9th/10th grade year. Aw, that sucks..thats where I got my highest GPA!! =/

I see that you are considering some CSUs and UCs. They use only your 10th and 11th grade years to calculate your GPA. They do look at your entire high school transcript in terms of completing your CSU/UC A-G requirements, and if you have not completed those requirements, you are not considered eligible for admission.

Schools other than the CSU/UCs will vary in what they look for, but generally 11th grade is considered most important, followed by your senior year course selection (and possibly 1st semester senior year grades, if your college requests them.)

It depends on the colleges. Some specifically do not look at freshman year. You are not going to have a full year of grades for senior year, and if you apply for early programs, you may not have any senior year grades under consideration for admissions at those schools. 10th and 11th grade are important years along with senior year choices and grades if they are able to be submitted.

^^correct. Even schools that claim that they ignore Frosh grades may use Class Rank as one admission criteria, so Frosh grades still count.

10th grade, absolutely. 9th grade, it depends on the college.

For my D last year it seemed to be everything 9 - 12. But it may depend on the college.
