I have always been intrested in University of Chicago-I love the campus, the city-Live very close by.
I have two major passions archelogy and film-it's tied
Ijust want to know if university of Chicago is good in the archelogy field
Future Thanks

Are you kidding me??? U Chicago is great in archaeology (:)). Its Egyptology program is world-renowned, and it runs several digs.

In history, Chicago's doctoral program (which means its faculty) is ranked tied for 4th in the country by US News. That's pretty darn good. US News doesn't rank anthropology/archaeology but the last National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council (NRC) study ranked Chicago's anthro department tied for #1 (with UMich): http://chronicle.uchicago.edu/950928/rankings.shtml

Thanks for the info

The Indiana Jones movies were based on a Chicago faculty member. I think that says it all.

I agree that does just say it all-:)
Thanks for all the help for a beginner in wading through the college maze
