I know that many schools have a summer program you can apply (as a first time freshman) and if you get accepted you would start your freshman year of college during the summer and then automatically continue onto fall. I checked on the website and it says that USC's summer program is open enrolment and it doesn't appear to be what I'm looking for as you aren't considered a USC full time student. Any ideas?

Without knowing your financial situation, it was enormously frustrating to me that USC only offered loans as financial aid during the summer. I went to school full-time year-round when I was in community college and would’ve preferred to do the same there. In fact, one of my HS classmates impressed the hell out of me by doing a 2 year associate’s degree in one calendar year by going full-time during the summer/fall/winter/spring/summer quarters and transferring to a respectable enough regional state school as a junior.

USC has summer programs that are by application only and otherwise as far as I know its summer programs are limited. I would check the schedule of classes and drop an email to the admissions office. You certainly aren’t the only person who’d want to get in, get out, and get on with your life. ;)

Look here for starters:

@USCAlum05 Thanks for your response. I plan to get my bachelors at USC; I’m a senior in high school so I have no community credits to speak off. I am looking for an early start into college (I have AP credits, I’m a few shy of entering as a sophomore so I want to do a summer course for that), I want to, after summer, to go right into Fall 2015. I know penn state, and Florida state have this type of programs (usually easier to get into than Fall) I was looking on the website and there seems no option for an Undergrad to apply into summer so I was wondering if this even existed at USC. I looked at the website, If I get admitted into summer, will i be considered a full time undergrad student and be able to carry on to fall without having to apply again? And will this classes count towards my major? Or is it mostly a community college type of thing?

There is no early summer entrance option for new students. I think it may be used more with State Universities, but in any event, not at USC. For students who are admitted for fall, I believe you can take classes the summer before matriculation, but you would have to do that at a community college. It’s an inexpensive option, but I believe you need prior approval from USC. Good luck.
